I forgot the name of the WOD I did today, but it was a modified version. Did 5 workouts in 3 rounds. First round was at 21 reps, second round at 15 reps, and last round at 9 reps. Was able to finish at 14 min and 23 seconds.
Warm-Up - P90X Ab Ripper
WOD:
1) Bench press with barbell
2) Lunges with weights
3) Super crunches
4) Dumb bell thrusts
5) Box Jumps
I've been doing some P90X workouts since 2010 but inconsistently. It was until June 2011 I started to work in P90X with real dedication. I also run 5k races almost every week, and have done a 10k twice. Beginning of this year I started P90X2, and at moment I just started CrossFit and it's been fun. More activities to come like swimming and biking. I am also fighting Endometriosis as diagnosed in 2009, and ever since I've done these workouts the symptoms and pain of Endo have lessen greatly.

X2 Ab Ripper and Crossfit
I had quite a lot of time today to do an extra workout. So, instead at first I did X2 Ab Ripper, then did some light reps of workouts from P90X Plus Upper Body. After that did a short WOD of Crossfit of 5 rounds of 10 turkish get ups (5 on left, 5 on right), then 100 jump ropes. The WOD seems easy, but by the time you hit the third round is when you start to feel the tiredness. Glad the WOD wasn't too heavy, it was light. The lighter the WOD, the more rounds needed to feel the burn.

Crossfit 50s
All I can say is right now my core is super sore and feeling beat up good. Normally what makes me go thru this pain is when I do Super Crunches in Tabada. Today's workout for Crossfit started with a 1.5 mile run as a warm up. After that here is the WOD:
1) pull ups
2) kettle bell swings
3) air push-ups
4) ball cleans
5) knees to chest on bar
2) kettle bell swings
3) air push-ups
4) ball cleans
5) knees to chest on bar
Each workout done at 50 reps each. Normally when I'm told to do knees to chest, I do toes to bar instead, but due to that being the last one. I stayed with knees to chest - this is the one that definitely killed my core. Tomorrow is going to be a really sore day.

Sunday's P90X Shoulders and Arms
Because I did a short Shoulders and Arms workout this past week. I decided to do the regular P90X Shoulders and Arms workout today after doing the X2 Ab Ripper as a warm up. Definitely a good workout to do on a Sunday.
Saturday night run
It's a weekend! But the last two days were my rest days. Definitely hit up a short run today.

X2 Shoulders and Arms
Usually, when I only have a very short timeframe to do a workout. X2 Shoulders and Arms works best. It's just 7 workouts in 3 rounds. Since, I did a resistance workout yesterday along with X2 Ab Ripper. Today, I did regular P90X Ab Ripper as it's not advisable to work out your abs everyday. Regular Ab Ripper is less intense and lighter for me. I did X2 Ab Ripper two days in a row before, the pain recovery after was great, but Tony Horton is right, we shouldn't do that in a row. So, I just prefer switching the next day to regular Ab Ripper if needed.

X2 Chest and Back on a Tuesday
I love doing X2 workouts of phase 2. Today I started it with X2 Ab Ripper and X2 Chest and back. The fun part of this workout is doing the push-ups on the medicine balls. Most especially the 4 medicine ball push-up. Eventually as it gets to the ending of the workout I started to die out in my pull-ups. The odd part, after I was done with the whole workout. I felt like working out some more in the gym with other types of regiments. Therefore, did some arm curls as a end treat of finishing my workout.

Switcharoo week
My usual workout days is M,W,F is strength resistance workouts. While, T,TH, and Sat will be running or cardio. Instead for today, I did a 4 mile run. Therefore, tomorrow will be a definite gym day. Felt good to run today, I think the energy for running came from last week's 2 runs.

PR broken "officially"
My actual PR for a 5k is 25:20, but due to lack of running as I use to it has been fluctuating from 25:30 to 26:20s the past months I've ran. Today, I was lucky. The 5k race was shorten, it was actually 2.77 miles instead of 3.1 miles. But official time was 23:29 today. With my calculation if it was an actual 5k in distance it would of been at 26:?? min.

Yoga before a 5k
Usually Fridays are either a leg workout or Yoga if there's a 5k the next day. Tomorrow, I will be running a 5k, therefore, Yoga P90X2 it is today. Did much better doing crane and wheel as usual. I'm aiming to hopefully one day do a split in the stretches, as the left foot forward while right is at back is almost becoming a split. I use a yoga block to help with a split.

Thanksgiving run
It may be a holiday from work. But it's never a holiday to work out. Rarely focused on just a run alone for a workout. Did a 4 mile run today before dinner time. Legs will totally be sore tomorrow. Hopefully, it'll be fine for this weekend's 5k run.

Wednesday favorite
Wednesday is my favorite day of the week for working out. It's the day to work more on the arms. If it's not Shoulders and Arms day, it's Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps day.

P90X Chest, Back and Triceps
The whole month of October I was pretty much stuck with night classes and unable to work out consistently. Now, that it's all over. I'm officially back to getting on track to blog all my workouts. Today was a modified P90X Chest, Back, and Triceps workout.
As usual I always do P90X2 Ab Ripper as a warm. For the P90X workout, instead of doing push-ups on the ground, I've substituted it to doing chest presses in the bench. Another modification is instead of Diamond Push-ups alone, it was push-ups towards one medicine ball. The side to side push-up was also utilized with a medicine ball, alternating each hand to press onto ball.
Tomorrow: Crossfit day!

Late night run
I rarely do late night workouts on a busy schedule. My new schedule with night classes have been affecting my usual workout schedule. If it's a holiday and there's no work for me to worry of for the next day, I wouldn't mind. This blog is more for the endometriosis readers. It's only been two weeks since I haven't done my consistent workouts, but today I started to feel more of the symptoms as usual. I use to take Seasonique, but got off it since I've been taking it for 3 years. My significant other and I figured, since I'm working out more compared to years ago, maybe that's what is making me not feel the symptoms I used to complain of.
Feeling these symptoms come back isn't a good sign to me, especially since it's rare I feel it. Therefore, I forced myself to do a late night run. It was already 9pm, so I stayed with just a quick 4 mile run. Felt so good! Can't wait for this week's 5k.

P90X - Chest, Triceps, and Shoulders
I always start with P90X2 Ab Ripper before a workout. Very rare I will do regular P90X Ab Ripper, the original P90X AB Ripper is only done if I workout in the gym consecutively in days and will be doing resistance instead of cardio.I haven't done Chest, Triceps, and Shoulders in a long time. This workout was pretty great. However, even though I've been doing P90X for almost 2 years and now I'm in P90X2 or Crossfit, I still can't do the one-arm push-up. I did try to do an attempt, holding in one arm, my strength has improved. So, maybe in time this can be done. Alternatives I do for this is do one-arm push-up towards a bench, legs on ground and hand on bench. Usually, when their height on what you're pushing towards to it helps. Another alternative if I don't feel like doing that, I grad a medicine ball and push-up towards that.

Short Intervals
No matter how busy my schedule can be. I try to find a short workout in between even though it's just for 30 minutes or less. Decided to do running intervals today. Always doing long distance running won't help increase your time. There are times we'll have to find a day just to do intervals. Basically, sprint for a minute, then walk for a minute and repeat. This time I did it for every 50 meters I sprinted, then walk. Light posts are usually 50 meters apart, so that was my guide.

Recovery week and missing a day
Today I was suppose to go to the gym and hit the weights. Unfortunately, due to work schedule and having to bring home work for deadlines. I had to give up today's plan for gym. I guess it's okay. I haven't had a recovery week yet for more than a month. I'm overdue for one. The past two days was my scheduled rest days. Technically, we should have 3 weeks of intense workout, then one week of light workouts to allow our bodies to rest and recover. I use to do that program when I started P90X. However, due to traveling schedule or events, I've just saved recovery week for the week I'm super busy or I'm on vacation.
Tomorrow, will be running intervals hopefully if no rain.

Why Sunday?
Who works out on a Sunday? Well, I did for once. Mainly due to schedule change from now to the next two months to come. Since, yesterday was cardio day for me. I worked on resistance today. Started with P90X2 Ab Ripper and worked on P90X2 Shoulders and Arms. Except for this one, I didn't do too much balance moves.
My boyfriend and I learned that doing the balance moves of the P90X2 Shoulders and Arms works more of the core and you can't lift heavy on that. What we do to work both core and work on mass, since this workout requires 3 rounds. We do at least one round without balancing and focus on lifting heavy. I actually do one round of the balance, and two rounds without balance. I need the muscle mass gain, especially since I know I won't be working out the next two days.

Saturday afternoon run
Ran another 5 mile run again. Consistent running in the week has been quite a long gap from the last time I did this. I ran on Thursday and now today, I felt much better today. The feeling of getting back into it was just relaxing. Keep in mind though running long distances isn't always the key. If you want to run faster, you need to find another day of doing running ntervals. I think the upcoming Thursdays will be my intervals day.

P90X2 Chest and Back
I must say this workout is one of my favorites. My blogs will eventually be switching back to P90 mode in the days to come. I'm afraid will all the running coming up, I will be losing all the muscles gained. So, definitely need to get resistance higher than usual. What I love most in this workout is working on push-ups on medicine balls. It's so fun. However, I'm not that great in doing the specialized pull-ups such as Lever. If you can't do the specialized pull-ups. Just try one, and do more reps of a regular one.
X2 Ab Ripper is always my warm-up instead of following the video were it's done at end. I think though in time I'll have to add more reps to X2 Ab Ripper. It's beginning to get too easy now.

5mile Run
It's been a looong while since I've done a run longer than a 5k. I use to run 2-3 times a week, but the past 6 months I've lessened it to just once a week but it was a 5k day. I was hoping to do more than 5 miles, but decided not to push myself too hard on the first day back to it since it's been awhile. More runs to come! A great excuse to carb up more now in diet.

Usual Wednesdays
Wednesdays are my favorite workout days. I always try to make this day P90X or X2 Shoulders and Arms along with X2 Ab Ripper. I love it when at the end of the workout you're dying to have your shake right away to feed your body, the only thing I hate of it is IF the shake didn't become enough for you.

Starting a new week
Crossfit workouts will be done less now temporarily due to a new temporary schedule and also training for a half marathon upcoming in October. I think it'll only be done once or twice a eek for Crossfit. Today's WOD was pretty medium. Not too crazy, not too light.
WOD:
5 reps of barbell on clavicle bone and squat with elbows out
10 military push-ups
15 box jump squats
30 jump ropes

5k, Body Pump, Swim!
Today, was a surprising day. Didn't really expect to do anything extra but just run a 5k and a gym. Ran a 5k at 6am as usual, but it's been a month since I did a 5k or did any type of running for more than a mile. Crossfit's 400meter run warm-ups aren't really considered for training. Unfortunately, my running time for a 5k has dropped to a whole minute! No running at all really makes a difference in time. I am looking into getting back to running if I want to do a half-marathon next month.
3 hours after the 5k run. I tried a Body Pump class for my first time. When it gets to weights I normally don't like to do light weights and more reps, I'm more of lifting heavier weights till I can't lift no more. Normally, the heavier the shorter the reps. With Body Pump, you are forced to do reps with a barbell. It's a one hour class working total body. Usually a song is 3-4 minutes, so for each song is working continuous on that body part. The order was Warm-Up, Back, Chest, Shoulders and Arms, Legs, and Abs. Definitely, had to go lighter than usual in this. However, the many reps just burn your arms at that time-frame. The workout wasn't extreme intensity compared to Cross-fit or P90X. So, I don't expect any soreness from it as I'm not feeling it much at all. But Body Pump does help for that definition in arms, but needs the right diet as well.
After Body Pump, aimed for a tan and did some swimming. Beautiful Saturday to relax and enjoy the leisure of a sweet body work.

Abs and Arms
Purposely did a very short workout today due to a 5k tomorrow. All I did was P90X2 Ab Ripper and some shoulders and arms workouts in gym. Didn't really do a full program like I normally do, as the weekend I'll have more time. Better to do something rather than nothing.

Long 5 Rounds
Another 5 round WOD was done today, but killer. I didn't even bother to check my time, but I'm assuming it's at 18 minutes or so.
WOD for Thursday:
1) 5 Ring Push-Ups (the rings that is used for Gymnastics)
2) 10 Sumo High Pulls with Kettle Bell
3) 15 Medicine 20lb Ball Cleans
4) 100meter rolls

Wednesday Rest Day
Due to my schedule of work ending late, no workout was able to be done on this day. Which in a way helps as I need to recover from the past two days of soreness from Crossfit. Especially from yesterday. My back is a little bit sore. Nothing broken, just the lower back muscle was really worked on to the extreme. Difference from Crossfit and P90X.
Main reason why you're sore from Crossfit, is because the repeated workout in the rounds of WOD only works a particular muscle. For P90X, you don't feel the soreness pain because the workout is even out in muscle confusion. In P90X we do a wide push-ups, then military push-ups, decline push-ups and etc. The different types of push-ups work a particular part of your body, so it evens out the pain. I feel like my back is broken in the bones, which actually would be really bad and I wouldn't be able to work out at all for awhile. So, thank goodness it's not. But realizing how serious the back can get injured, proper form is very important for Crossfit especially as the workouts are faster.

Crossfit Intensity and additionals
My trainer is just making crossfit even more intense as it was. Did crossfit, along with some P90X arm workouts at gym and X2 Ab Ripper after. What a way to do a workout on a Holiday.
Crossfit WOD:
5 rounds
1) 7 decline push-ups (feet on box or square, and push-ups to ground)
2) 5 incline bench press at just 45lbs of the barbell alone
3) 7 kipley pull ups
4) 5 left hand hammer slams to giant tire, and 5 on right hand

Light day to Challenging day
Yesterday's workout was short and simple, so my trainer made today's own more challenging:
Warmup:
Just squats as much as I can, and some burpees.
WOD: 5 rounds
15 squats with arm holding barbell (barbell is 45lbs, unless there is a female bar at 35lbs is fine, i used a
metal pole instead for substitution)
10 jump box (height of box was maybe 2ft high this time, higher than usual)
5 pull ups
7 kettle bell thrusts
Time ended: 11:33
This workout definitely worked me out, especially since for pull-ups there was no assist at all.

The push for 25s!
Today's workout P90X2 Ab Ripper and regular P90X Shoulders and Arms. Unfortunately, the 20lbs dumbbells in gym is still missing. So, again I used 15lbs, which I really dislike. So, in one of the workouts in Full Supination Curls I did the 25lbs.I think I'll have to now aim to get that heavy now. I have my own 20s at home, but such a hassle to bring it to the gym. The push for 25s has now begun. Technically, it started this week, but those were bench presses.

AMRAP
As Many Rounds As Possible (AMRAP) was today's workout. Basically, did a workout for 10 minutes.
Warmup:
Same as yesterday's but no Ab Ripper.
WOD:
5 burpees
10 push-ups
15 air squats
100m sprint run
Soreness: Totally feeling the back from yesterday's workout. Definitely feeling the glutes after today's AMRAP was done.
Food/Meals for the day:
Bfast: 4 egg whites, 1 yolk, hummus-salmon sandwich.
Shake: Nitropeak
Lunch - Salad with chicken, tomatoes, cucumber, almonds, golden raisins. Grapes, hummus-salmon sandwich
Snack - Banana and grapes
Dinner: Chicken Burger and fruits
Shake: Casiene with milk
Felt like logging down all the intake of food taken today.

SUMO High Pulls!
Did something new for Crossfit Mondays - SUMO High Pull Thrusts. It's similar to using the dumbbells in P90X but termed as "Upright Rows". Instead for Crossfit, you focus on core squats with pulling the kettle bell to your chin, but arms going up are pretty much same position as upright rows.
Did an extra run for my warm-up as it's been awhile I've last ran, and also need to start train in running for upcoming half-marathon.
Warm-up:
P90X2 Ab Ripper
100 Jump Ropes
10 burpees
Lunges
800m Run
Crossfit WOD 3 rounds: (time: 12:11)
1) 35 lbs - 10 Sumo High Pull Thrusts
2) 15 Box Jumps
3) 400m runs
* Short WOD, but quite lengthy after the first round.
Did a few Kipley Pull-Ups as well after WOD was done and regular pull-ups, just so I can work on my back more.

Upper body again..
Workout of the Day: X2 Ab Ripper and X2 Shoulders and Arms, but with chest additions.
For X2 Ab Ripper, I did a change in the Tornado. Instead of going clockwise 10 times and vice versa. My boyfriend read in a magazine that doing an infiniti sign from left to right is harder and more effective. Safer for your back as well, and makes the exercise more even. It's basically doing the Tornado but writing the number "8" in air with your legs, basically "infiniti sign" since it's left to right.
For Shoulders and Arms, in between a workout I did some chest workouts on bench or on stability balls. My new favorite for chest is, have a medicine ball on each leg for balance, and use a medicine ball with handles to push again your chest for the pushup.
It's nice to add additional things to your workouts. Muscle confusion!
Supplements for the day: Nitro-Peak, X-Plode, and Casein.

Upper body with the endo trauma
Today's workout: P90X2 Ab Ripper with P90X Plus Upper Body.
I kind off stayed in a light workout due to that time of the month just so that I don't strain my body. Especially, since it was my first time after 2 years not having my menstruation due to Seasonique. Last month I've gotten off the Seasonique since I'm currently testing to see how much of my workouts can help battle the symptoms of Endometriosis.
Also, someone at the gym took the 20lbs dumbbells. There's only one set, and somehow they were no where to be found. Got stuck with 15s which was just too light for some of the workouts, but was doable for others.

Another Tabada...
Finally back to Crossfit mode after a long trip! One thing I love about Crossfit, I am unsure of what the workout will be for the day. Today was Tabada! My second time doing this workout. Basically, as mentioned before it's a workout for 14 minutes total, 3 different types of workout, each workout for 4 min-20 second for reps then 10 second break. After a workout is done, you get a one minute break then go on to the next workout.
Today's Tabada:
1) Jump Pull Up
2) Kettle Bell Thrust
3) Super Crunches

Base, Back, and Chest
The last week of inconsistency. Missed a day in this world due to traveling and major jetlag. Finally, a workout at the end of the week. I usually dread Fridays going to the gym, so sometimes I substitute it to Crossfit. However, as I'm still recovering from a jetlag, I pushed myself to the gym today. Did P90X2 Ab Ripper as for usual warmup. Then worked on P90X2 Base and Back but with a substitution of chest workouts in first round utilizing the bench or pushups. Here's the workout regiment for the day:
Round 1
Bench chest press
Squat Jump Box
Wide arms bench chest press
Chair Jump Squats
Military Bench Press or Military Push ups
Plyo Lunge Press
Decline Push-Ups
Surfer Spin
Pushup on Medicine Ball
Jack in the Box Jump Knee Tucks
Round 2 (Original P90X2 workout)
No Kip Pull ups
Squat Jump Box
Wide Leg Close Grip Chin Up
Chair Jump Squats
Switch Grip No Kip Pullups
Plyo Lunge Press
V Pull Ups
Surfer Spin
Kippy Cross Fugly Pull Ups
Jack in the Box Jump Knee Tucks
Next week will be a full week of workouts. Can't wait!

Sunday rare day!
Due to traveling schedule and an inconsistent workout regiment. Sunday was a day to workout. Normally, if I missed a Friday or Saturday workout and I'm available on Sundays, I would end up doing a light workout of running, kenpo, or swimming. But since I'm here in Washington and showing a friend some moves to do. P90X Ab Ripper and P90X Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps it is.
However, because I've done P90X Ab Ripper too long and I've upgraded to P90X2 Ab Ripper. I tend to do the P90X version on the BOSU balls. Really helps the core work more.

Super-Sport
The plan was just to do the usual workout. However, as I traveled to Washington, the gym nearby me was a Super-Sport gym. It had a pool, basketball court, sauna, and basically a fully equipped gym that is hard to find. Jump ropes, kettle balls, stability malls, and etc. So, instead I started with the 7P90X2 Ab Ripper, did a mini light cross fit, then ended with X2 Shoulders and Arms but did 2 sets of it instead of 3 sets. I didn't push for the 3 sets, as I did the mini cross fit to substitute it.
Here was the mini cross fit WOD: This should last for just 2 min or so.
3 ball slams
5 kettle bell thrusts
7 kettle bell deadlift squats
30 jump ropes
I have to give props to my dear girl friend for working out with me today, she is the first one I've trained personally. Usually, my significant other is with me on P90 days. Crossfit is usually training from my friend that is certified and I've saved the workouts in the event I travel, I can do something on my own.

Jetlag!
My homeland is 17 hours ahead in time zone with California. Just flew in yesterday. Slept at midnight woke up at 4am (in which is time to go to bed at home), but somehow I'm awake I guess from all the sleep and confusion my body had gone thru with the flights. Couldn't go back to sleep, so I ended up gyming it at 8am. Surprisingly, I was wide awake for an X2 Ab Ripper and the P90X2 Chest and Back. Unfortunately, I had no protein shake for after workout on hand. Thank goodness a Subway was nearby, was just disappointed they weren't serving breakfast in that location.

Last one for the week
Just another usual P90X day for Shoulders and Arms along with X2 Ab Ripper. The P90X2 workout for Shoulders and Arms is shorter and more focused on the core, plus a fat burner. With regular P90X, you get more buff-ness as you can work with heavier weights.

Chest and Back.
Normally, this is a Monday workout for me, but due to Crossfit. I've moved this to Wednesdays and alternate it with Shoulders and Arms. Worked on regular P90X instead of doing the P90X2 workout. Here's a link to worksheets in case it's needed.

I don't normally log my reps no more, as instead I just go heavier than the last time or stay with my 15lbs. Today, I stayed with 20lbs. Due to a crazy schedule, my workouts this week is just every other day instead of the usual 6 days of the week schedule.

Teppanyaki!
NO BUTTER PLEASE! Every time I eat at a Teppanyaki place I always inform the chef, no butter please and be light on the oil. It's great if they don't use oil if they can. This place didn't need oil for the meat. So, it was awesome.
Teppanyaki places tend to always serve tofu for their veggies. Unfortunately, with Endometriosis, we can't have tofu. So I just gave mine away to those eating with me. Usually a Sunday dinner will be light since it's rest day, but this was a company dinner so got stuck with Teppanyaki.

Double Saturday!
Usually on Saturdays I run a 5k if there is one. Most of the time there is, but not during summertime. Today, I ran a 5k at 6am. I haven't ran in awhile due to being sick and traveling. I clocked the race at 25min 52sec. 30 seconds off from my PR. I don't think I'll beat it soon, I don't want to focus much on running too much as it makes my muscles smaller.
What I love of Saturdays is I'm free to do a second workout in the afternoon. Ended up doing P90X PLUS Upper Body and P90X2 Ab Ripper.
Hint: Get a tan to see the muscles more, darker skin defines the muscle lines more making it look bigger as well. I'm due for a tan.

WarmUp before a 5k
Usually Fridays are my days to do Yoga before a 5k. But figured do something different. I ended up doing CrossFit today. I told my CrossFit trainer I'm running a 5k tomorrow morning, so my WOD had to be very light. I was able to do today's workout at 8 min 47 sec.
4 rounds each
1) 15 burpees
2) 30 fast speed jump ropes
3) 100m rollers

P90X Wednesday
Today I woke up sore as hell, not with yesterday's workout. But from Monday's super crunches. It's always two days after a workout where I feel the pain. My abs and core total soreness indeed. Any sneeze, cough, or laugh really pained it. Feels great! Instead of doing Crossfit today I went ahead and P90X Shoulders and Arms. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do ab ripper for the first time, my core just wouldn't even make me make a first move of it. Today's P90X workout was great, it's been awhile I've done it since I've been working on P90X2 lately versus the regular P90X. Can't wait till my core feels better so I can focus on other workouts.

Tabada
So, I've started Crossfit a few weeks ago. But had a break for two weeks from it due to traveling and helping a friend for a weekend. Today I was introduced to "Tabada" of Crossfit. Basically, it was three different workouts to do. You do one workout at a time for four minutes, within those four minutes you do the workout for 20 seconds then have a 10 second break and do it over and over till the four minutes end. After four minutes, switch to the other workout and do the same thing over again. While on break, someone else will log your workout for those 20 seconds
Here today's Tabada and log of my results: (As you can see I started to die out in the end of my workout which is natural).
